KKL-JNF laid the groundwork for life as a free People in our Land – so is it any wonder we embrace the bird, the symbol of freedom? We’ve developed 11 ornithological sites, including the world-famous Hula Lake Park, a stopover for 500 million migrating birds. Our ‘Kanfei KaKaL’ (“KKL-JNF Wings”) network, led by the Chief Scientist Unit, promotes bird conservation through research, habitat management, and public education. Our birding clubs and activities raise awareness of the vital role birds play in Israel’s ecosystems, ensuring their protection for generations to come.
