KKL-JNF’s eight Regional R&D Agricultural Stations, stretching from the northern border down through the Jordan Valley, the Negev, and the Arava, play a vital role in harnessing Israel’s natural resources—climate, soil, and water—for the advancement of profitable agriculture and the strengthening of frontier communities. Since 1996, KKL-JNF has managed and supported these stations in cooperation with Israel’s Ministry of Agriculture, in line with its Zionist mission to promote settlement in the periphery, develop national lands, and deepen the connection of the Jewish people to their homeland.
The stations focus on developing and refining agricultural methods across orchards, field crops, vegetables, flowers, spices, and aquaculture, while introducing innovative technologies to tackle challenges such as water quality, pest and disease control, and labor shortages. Knowledge gained is shared directly with farmers through open days, professional tours, personalized guidance, and publications, ensuring immediate application in the field and contributing to the resilience and growth of Israeli agriculture.
