Our Education and Community Division goes beyond conventional learning, offering innovative and immersive informal activities that captivate Israeli youth nationwide. We are sowing the seeds of Israel’s future and nurturing a deep connection to the land, nature, and the environment among Israeli and Diaspora youth.
Our programs are designed to foster a profound love and understanding of Israel’s heritage and history while empowering young minds, especially those in the geographic and social peripheries.
KKL-JNF is committed to promoting initiatives that celebrate social diversity, recognizing its pivotal role in building a vibrant and healthy society.
Projects List
Name: KKL-JNF is Educating Youth in Acre About Climate Change
Description: In Acre, almost 200 classes will participate in a program about climate change and Jewish-Muslim coexistence. There is no doubt that the climate crisis threatens our children's future. In contrast to many other challenges, this does not involve sects, religions, nationalities, or parties. It is a struggle that unites all of humanity and brings out the best in us.
Name: Safety First at the Lavi Field and Forest Education Center
Description: In northern Israel, at the KKL-JNF Lavie Field Center, where minds blossom, we've taken a crucial step towards fortifying the foundation of learning. We have installed two bomb shelters and an emergency generator, a testament to our commitment to the safety and well-being of every student, and staff member.
Name: Four New Guest Cabins Added to the KKL-JNF’s Lavi Field and Forest Education Center
Description: The Lavi Field and Forest Education Center has expanded its capacity with four guest cabins. These cabins represent our unwavering commitment to enhancing the experiences of our valued visitors, particularly youth groups and the dedicated staff accompanying them.
Name: Working with the Hands, Feeling with the Heart
Description: The path to the love of the land runs through one's hands – this is the motto of KKL-JNF's Contributing by Working initiative. The Shuni Field and Forest Center (FFEC) invites young people from Israel and abroad to uncover a Roman aqueduct that channeled water to Caesarea. And what about after work? Travelling, social activities and education.
Name: The Lavi Forest - Instructional Area in the Golani Plant Nursery
Description: Most of the work at the Golani Nursery involves sprouting and growing tree saplings for afforestation, but as part of the desire to make the general public familiar with the importance of protecting nature, the nursery staff provides learning sessions. A roofed and shaded learning corner makes the session pleasant, comfortable and even more exciting.
Name: Nes Harim FFEC - Summer Camp - Simcha LaYeled - Special Needs
Description: Young people with special needs generally don’t have much to look forward to in summer, but that is slowly changing, thanks to the accessible overnight summer camps that KKL-JNF runs at its Field & Forest Center in Nes Harim, in conjunction with the Simcha LaYeled NGO.
