This International Day of Forests, we reflect on the importance of Israel’s forests during wartime. They offer healing spaces to breathe, reflect and regain strength. They are also an important part of the rehabilitation of many wounded soldiers and civilians. While KKL-JNF forest work is at a minimum during Operation Roaring Lion, our rangers and our inspection unit are continuing to monitor the forests, ever-ready to respond in case of a fire or any other emergency.
