When we light the Menorah, we bless G‑d for the miracles He performed bayamim hahem, bazman hazeh, in those days and in this time. Hanukkah reminds us not only of ancient wonders, but of the everyday miracles that happen when people choose to stand together. Over 120 years ago, Jewish delegates gathered in Basel, united by a deep responsibility for our shared future. That unity sparked a miracle: the creation of the Jewish National Fund, laying the foundation for the future State of Israel.

Since then, KKL‑JNF has developed the Land of Israel, planting forests, building water and infrastructure projects, creating communities, and strengthening the country. Today, that same spirit guides us as we rebuild, heal, and bring light to Israel and the Jewish People. May this Hanukkah bring hope to every home and the return of all remaining hostages.
