The images<span style=\"font-family:&quot;Engravers MT&quot;,serif\">\u2014<\/span>some of\nthem dating from before the declaration of the State of Israel<font face=\"Engravers MT, serif\">,&nbsp;<\/font>reflect enduring elements of\nJewish life, including tradition, education, and communal practice, even during\ntimes of uncertainty.<o:p><\/o:p><\/p><p style=\"direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;\"><br><\/p><p style=\"direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;\">Among\nthem are a photograph from the 1920s showing kindergarten children preparing\nmatzah dough; documentation from a festive Passover parade for Israeli soldiers\nin 1948, the year of Israel&#8217;s independence; and families in Jerusalem\u2019s Mea\nShe\u2019arim neighborhood participating in the burning of chametz in 1983<font face=\"Engravers MT, serif\">,&nbsp;<\/font>a year marked by the effects\nof the Lebanon War.
