Name: A Hub of Community and Connection: Support the Ofakim Park Development
Description: Placed in the heart of southern Israel, Ofakim Park serves as a vital link between the old and new sections of the city of Ofakim. As the city’s central municipal park, it has become a cherished space for recreation, relaxation, and community gathering. Beginning as a forest that was planted in 1978 by KKL-JNF, Ofakim Park, about 500 dunams (approx. 125 acres) in size, has become a large green oasis, encompassing the historic Patish Fortress, scenic hiking and cycling routes. Now, KKL-JNF has launched an exciting project to enhance this beloved park.

Description: Givat HaMoreh Forest, spanning 10,000 dunams between the Jezreel and Harod Valleys, is one of Israel’s most beautiful forests. Description: In the aftermath of the Iron Sword War, northern communities face economic hardship and prolonged insecurity. The Bar’am Forest, located near the Lebanon border, was among the hardest-hit areas. Now, KKL-JNF is advancing a nearly completed project at Ein Alva Spring to help restore normal life through nature, tourism, and public access.

This gem, situated near the city of Kiryat Gat, draws tens of thousands of visitors each year with its scenic picnic areas, stunning carpets of wild anemones and cyclamens, ancient archaeological remnants—and one truly exceptional family park.

Name: Pigeon Hill, Azrikam Forest: Making Nature and History Accessible to Everyone
Description: Many Israeli nature sites tell fascinating stories about the country’s history, making it much more important to maintain and develop them. Pigeon Hill is part of the Azrikam Forest, located near the moshav of the same name and the Be'er Tuvia Regional Council. The moshav and forest were built on the lands of the depopulated Bayt Daras and al-Batani al-Gharbi villages.

Description: In Maresha Forest there is a well-cared for tree plantation, the result of longtime cooperation between KKL-JNF and Nehusha, a community village. KKL-JNF is creating a scenic road in the forest that will make it possible for fire trucks to respond quickly and effectively in the case of fires. KKL-JNF foresters and local farmers will also use the scenic road.
