Missiles destroy 23,000 hectares of nature

Since October 7, Hezbollah-fired missiles have ignited widespread fires across Israel’s north, devastating over 23,000 hectares of forests and open spaces, with more than 17,500 hectares in the Upper Galilee and Golan Heights alone.

These fires have ravaged huge tracts of KKL-JNF forest, destroyed precious wildlife habitats, and scarred beloved recreation areas. KKL-JNF emergency teams, risking their lives, are working around the clock to battle the flames and save what they can. To continue these efforts, we urgently need to replace firefighting gear, enhance fire detection systems, and prepare for long-term restoration.

Experts estimate it will take 5-7 years to fully rehabilitate these areas. Be a partner in protecting Israel’s northern landscape and restoring its natural beauty.
